Teacher Gifts

It made my day when I received a end of the year gift from one of my students.  He is in preschool and left me this on my desk.

His classroom teacher scribed for him.  This is what it said:

“Thank you playing with me.  Her play outside sometimes with me.  Her plays crayons and letters with me.  Thank you making me silly.  Her play Mickey Mouse game with me.  Her make flowers with me.  Her make me feel good.  Her make me feel happy.”

Love, D.

It was so sweet.  He also left me a flower.

I love being a teacher and it’s the little things like this that make it even sweeter.

“A little with the fear of the Lord is better than great riches with trouble.”

(Proverbs 15:16)

End of the Year Activity *Freebie* Updated for 2015!

It’s almost May!  I updated this activity to be used for the end of the 2013-2014 school year. I changed the font on the front cover and I also added a blackline picture of a school that you can use and have students color if you’d like.  Click on the picture for the link to the *free* item in my Teachers pay Teachers store!

I made this little activity for students to reflect on what they learned this school year. I wanted to create an end of the year activity that had a little substance and required students to reflect on the highlights of what they learned throughout the year! Also, I wanted to it be fun. The first page of the document shows an example of the activity. On the second page, students fill in what grade they are in and write their name on the line. Then they can cut out both boxes and glue them on a file folder. On the next five pages, students can fill in something they learned in Reading, Math, Writing and about Making Friends and Attitude! There is space where students can draw a picture as well. Then have students put the sheets in their “file” and you can staple them if you’d like. (Target has really cute file folders in the One Spot!)

Enjoy!  If you like this, please rate me, or follow me!
Thank you!!!

Teacher Love!

Dear Teachers,

Remember that you make a difference.  You change lives.  You are awesome.  You made it through the school year and you should be so proud of all your hard work and everything you did for kids.  You taught them with love.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)

Here is a little gift for you.  The other day I was driving and thinking about what I needed to do the next day at school and I saw this beautiful sky and I knew it was a gift from God just for me and I felt lead to share it with you.

And I was reminded of these lyrics.

Light light light up the sky
You light up the sky to show me You are with me
I I I can’t deny
No I can’t deny that You are right here with me
You’ve opened my eyes
So I can see You all around me
Light light light up the sky
You light up the sky to show me
That You are with me

The song is called Light Up the Sky by The Afters.

Thank you teachers.
